Acrylic paints for silk from the Decola series are designed for various types of natural and synthetic fabrics. These striking, intensely bright paints are suitable for painting on silk and wool, as well as similar animal-based textiles, which are heat-set by ironing. Highly concentrated, water-soluble paints that are environmentally friendly. They are high quality and versatile, and can be used with common painting techniques such as batik, painting with a thickener, watercolor techniques, or creating effects with salt. For the best results, it is recommended to wash the silk in lukewarm soapy water before painting. This removes the finish that could interfere with proper paint application. Apply the paints to the fabric with a brush (we recommend a stiff flat brush); they flow perfectly. The paints penetrate deep into the fabric fibers without bleeding. Once dry (1 - 1.5 h), the painted silk must be heat-set by ironing on the reverse side. After heat-setting, the paints become beautifully bright, and the silk has a lovely gloss and feels very soft to the touch. The paints can be used undiluted or diluted and can be mixed together. The manufacturer recommends storing the bottles in a cool, dry place out of reach of kids and protecting them from direct sunlight. Fabrics can be machine-washed at 30°C - 40°C. The paints come in bottles with a volume of 50 ml.
