False Kiva Canyon View - Paint by Numbers Kit

A low ring of grey stones sits on a dusty cave floor, and beyond it the whole of Canyonlands opens up. This painting looks out from under the sandstone ceiling of False Kiva. The dark overhead arch frames a bright window of layered rust mesas fading into the distance.

The palette moves from warm to cool. Foreground rock is brown and burnt orange, and the far canyon softens into rose and violet under cool afternoon light. Snow-tipped peaks sit on the horizon below a scatter of puffy white clouds. Small green junipers cling to the sunlit ledge on the left. The large, clear shapes and smooth color transitions in the cliffs and sky suit relaxed, meditative painting, and the numbered reference sheet helps you keep track of the many shades of stone.

It works well for beginners who want a striking result, for hobbyists who enjoy blending warm and cool tones, and for anyone who has hiked Utah's red country or wants to. It also makes a thoughtful gift for a national park lover. Start with the deep shadows of the arch and finish with the glowing distance.
