Great Blue Turaco - Paint by Numbers Kit

A crest of fanned blue feathers, a yellow beak banded in black, and a body in layered turquoise and cobalt make the Great Blue Turaco the star of this canvas. It sits on a thick, lichen-spotted branch in the filtered afternoon light of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Behind it the jungle dissolves into a soft green blur.

The palette is cool and emerald, with the bird's long tail sweeping down in deep ultramarine tipped with lighter sky blue. Warm yellow on the beak is the only strong accent, so your eye goes straight to it. Below the branch, a mass of glossy dark leaves fills the lower frame and gives you a calm block of greens to work through. The numbered reference sheet helps you keep track of the gradual blending across the plumage.

The kit suits beginners who want big, readable shapes as well as hobbyists who enjoy smooth color transitions. It also makes a good gift for bird watchers and anyone who dreams of Uganda's rainforests. Pick up your brush and start with the crest.
