Jaguar Drinking at the Stream - Paint by Numbers Kit

A jaguar lowers its whole body toward a teal stream, and the only sign of motion is a ring of ripples spreading from its tongue. That quiet moment is the heart of this Canaima National Park scene. The cat is a single tawny-gold mass broken up by bold dark rosettes, with pale paws planted on a moss-covered rock.

Around the animal, the Venezuelan rainforest settles into layered masses of deep green. Broad fronds frame the left and right edges, and a small cascade glints white at the far bank. The light is cool and overcast, so the palette stays in muted greens, mossy olives and earthy golds. Below the cat, its amber reflection wobbles across the flat water in soft, broken bands.

The big shapes and gradual color blending in the fur, foliage and water make this a rewarding project for hobbyists. Beginners can follow the numbered reference sheet and build the rosettes one block at a time. It also makes a thoughtful gift for wildlife lovers and anyone who dreams of Venezuela's national parks. Pick up your brush and watch the jaguar come out of the green.
