Thickening Modeling Paste for Watercolor AQUA Schmincke 100 ml

AQUA Pasto Modeling Paste for Watercolor from Schmincke is a transparent paste that, when mixed with watercolors, lets you create subtle textures with a gloss finish. It can be used to create the so-called impasto effect. Impasto is a painting technique in which paint is applied in a thicker layer so that brush or palette knife strokes remain visible. The paste slows paint drying, reduces its fluidity, increases the body of watercolor, and improves gloss. Suitable for palette knife techniques in moderate layers to create interesting 3D effects. Avoid applying layers that are too thick, as they may crack. Once dry, the paste remains water-soluble, like watercolor.

How to use:

Stir before use if needed. AQUA Pasto is ready to use. It should be applied to the surface with a palette knife after mixing with watercolors. Never put the product directly into watercolor pans. Always use a separate palette for mixing. Suitable surfaces: watercolor paper or primed surfaces such as canvas, wood, or cardboard. A final coat of all-purpose varnish prevents the surface from becoming sticky. Clean tools with water or soap and water as soon as possible after use. Close immediately after use.
