Schmincke Primer for Oil Paints, 500 ml

Schmincke Oil Paint Primer 500 ml

Schmincke primer is used to prepare traditional painting surfaces for oil painting. Apply it to the surface before painting to help the paint adhere properly and create a smooth, even surface for applying paint. Impregnation helps seal the surface and prevent paint from soaking into it, which can cause the paint to become matte and damage the colors in the finished painting. It is a clear, colorless liquid that dries to a hard, durable finish and can be used on various surfaces, including canvas, wood, and plaster. The product is ready to use, but can be diluted with up to 10 percent water if needed.
