Schmincke Super Granulation Watercolors in Tubes, Set of 5 x 15 ml | Set shire

The Horadam Super Granulation Aquarell set contains 5 granulating watercolors in 15 ml tubes. The paints are stored in an elegant wooden case with the Schmincke logo. Artists are increasingly fond of granulating paints because of the special effect they create. The paints may seem pale, but this effect is desired in certain techniques. Granulation means that the pigments in the paint “clump together” to create a distinct, grainy surface. This fantastic effect is ideal for creating beautiful works of art! The paints dissolve easily and are suitable for all watercolor techniques. The paints can also be easily mixed with other watercolor lines from Schmincke. To increase the granulating effect and achieve unusual color shifts, simply mix the granulating paints. We recommend testing them first, as some paints are more dominant while others have a weaker effect. The color-shift effect also varies depending on the mixing ratio and range of colors. As a rule, the rougher and more textured the paper, the greater the granulating effect. More absorbent papers require a little more water. Satin papers hot-pressed are not suitable.
