Storm Over the Canyon Rim - Paint by Numbers Kit

One narrow shaft of pale gold light drops through a bruised sky and lands on a single distant butte, while curtains of rain hang over the rest of the canyon. That contrast is the heart of this Canyonlands scene, and you get to build it stroke by stroke.

Dark blue-grey storm clouds spread across the top of the canvas, with slate and cool violet shadows pooling between layers of rust-red mesas. Below them, a foreground plateau of olive and sage scrub, sun-warmed sandstone ledges and a thin silver river winding through the gorge give you plenty of warm and cool passages to blend. The large, readable shapes have soft internal color shifts, so the rain masses look heavy without being fussy to paint.

It suits beginners who want a dramatic result, hobbyists who enjoy working with atmosphere, and anyone shopping for a national park lover. The numbered reference sheet helps you keep the storm and the sunlit butte in the right balance. Pick it up and paint the moment the clouds break over the rim.
