Tepui Pitcher Plants - Paint by Numbers Kit

A single cluster of red-and-green pitcher plants rises from the dark, boggy rock of a Canaima tepui summit, and every tube is a bold, readable shape begging for a brush. Their wine-red freckling fades into olive and lime toward the base, so the graduated blending that gives these pitchers their depth is the real fun of painting them.

Beside the plants lies a flat pool of black-brown water, and behind it the flat-topped tepuis disappear into drifting cloud under cool, misty daylight. Sombre greens, mossy yellows and rusty reds sit against the grey lichen-flecked stone. Each pitcher is large enough to reward a steady hand, and the numbered reference sheet helps you keep the soft color transitions in the right order.

This kit suits beginners who want a striking subject without fiddly detail, and hobbyists who like moody botanical scenes. It also makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves Venezuela's wild plateaus or carnivorous plants. Set up your palette and bring this remote mountaintop bog to your wall.
